In California Now

Well, we arrived last Friday! It was a long, pretty boring three days of driving. You either saw something or you didn't. Mostly flat dry land and a lot of road kill. The animals did awesome! Much better then I had expected. It's been a long time since I have lived in an apartment and that'll take a little getting used to.

And though we thought we had packed all important necessities..........we didn't. First thing missing was the TP and from there the list grew. Funny how you get used to having stuff and you don't even miss it until you don't have it anymore.

Our first day was eventful. The toilet over flowed, the kitchen sink had a leak, and when we came back from walking the dog the front door lock was broken. Yikes!! Not to mention the dishwasher that won't and can't open all the way because the stove sticks out too far. It's kinda funny!!

Today I ventured out all by myself. Thought I can handle this......well I turned to soon, got lost and to dig out my GPS to get me back on course. Time will tell. I'm ready to get creative!

why are you moving to CA? it doesn't sound like a safe neighborhood, please be careful, maybe you should take a troll with you when you go out, for protection

Oh Ute...I hope you are able to find a house soon & get out of that apartment & get to the point where you can have your own stuff. I did laugh about the TP...did that too when we moved.

Welcome to California Ute! After you get settled, go exploring. There's lots of interesting shops and things to see in soCal. And of course, one of the best things is the weather! Yay!

Oh darlin Ute, I so know what you are going through, or atleast close to it!
I have been meaning to write you to see how things were going and after checking your blog I do so hope things pick up for you! We had a ton of things hit us when we first moved as well. Life seems to love to throw at you that "when it rains it pours" scenario!
Sending huge hugs your way!!!
