Welt Pocket fun

Well I'd like to say that the "welt pocket" was fun, but it really wasn't.  I always try to do some testers before actually cutting into fabric that I spent several weeks making.

The pocket turned out.  There are some things I could have done differently but I didn't.  I always learn something.

I am finally done with this project and I am very happy with the outcome.

I found the perfect Lining fabric

I my stash of fabrics I found the perfect lining.  So I jumped the gun.  Putting in the Lining before pockets and belt loops.  Oh' well so it goes.  Now I'm contemplating putting in a slash pocket.

Honestly I'm very ready to have this project finished.

Seeing an end

Well, I'm finally seeing an end to this project.  I can't even count the hours I have spent sewing scraps of fabric together. Yesterday I cut out my pattern.  I do have to say it was a bit scary!

I'm very happy with what it looks like so far.  Still needs a belt and lining fabric.  It'll be a fun one to wear.

More Rabbits

Since it's the year of the Rabbit.  You'll be seeing lots of bunny creations.  This one was done with lazy pencil lines, watercolor and neocolor 2.  Fun play!  An old photo and some words to add depth and interest.

Trying to do better about posting

Well the plan is to do better about posting.  The year is off to a busy start.  I'm taking a 6 week pottery class and doing some on-line classes.  Hopefully that keeps me out of trouble?!?  I'm currently working on a class with Carla Sonheim entitled "Year of the Rabbit".

I've been having fun sketching rabbits.

Yesterday I printed some colorful pages using my Gel Printing Plate.  I totally got lost in the process.  Many hours later, when my neck started to hurt I realized how long I had been at it.  All part of the process.

I'm still here

Wow, I haven't posted since I left Arizona and now I'm back.  I will post some pics of what I did this summer.  OK, so as I'm going thru my pics I realized that this could get rather lengthy.

I love the process that I learned from Jennifer Mercedes.  Scribble on a wood board with a ink pen and then using Acrylic paint, fill in the spaces.  Very freeing and fun.
